Collard Greens Empty Collard Greens

Post  Guest Mon May 12, 2014 6:05 pm

These are very nutrition dense vegetables. To cook Collard Greens i do the following:
first get rid of the hard stem in the middle of the leaves so that you are only left with the leafy greens. now put olive oil in the pan, then add some hing (Asafoetida), salt and water. then add the collard green leaves. add more water and more salt if required. in just a few minutes the collard green will be done. taste a little of the collard green to see if it is cooked. you can optionally add chopped garlic (when u added the hing) to the collard green as well.

i can only eat collard greens with rice, but will try them with qunioa now.
