Do you use Hing in your cooking? If yes do you buy it as a powder, a liquid, or as a solid block? Do u buy it online or in an Indian store?

yes extensively. i grew up in gujrat where hing is used a lot. i think it controls stomach gas. i buy laxmi powder...avalable in whitle little box in indian grocery stores.

I had a serious case of food poisoning sometime back. That's why I've been cooking at home quite a lot. I was told turmeric of course is very good for the stomach but I was also recommended hing and also ginger powder.

oh thats bad..hing has anti gas properties and turmeric has antiseptic and anti inflamattory..i dont know what ginger does..

i cook at home everyday..and nowaday i enjoy cooking.. even if it is something as simple as rasam or dal...i make it.
