chana needs to be soaked in water for 8-10 hours. then to the drained chana, add water. 1:4 ratio chana:water. 1/2 tea spoon haldi. 1/4 tea spoon ginger powder. salt to taste. 1/2 tea spoon dhaniya powder optional. cook in pressure cooker. 5-6 whistles.
