Cults--Preliminary Introduction
As a student of psychology, i have always been fascinated by cults. What is it that can get someone to leave their job, part with huge sums of money, and even disconnect from loved ones? A study of cults is in my opinion not only of psychological significance but also of social significance. Entire families have been broken up because some loved one made the mistake of joining a cult.
As a student of cults i have studied to some extent the politics, psychology, sociology, and philosophy with respect to cults. Actually i should say 'some cults' because i made a special study of a few cults in particular. In subsequent posts i shall relate the results of my study of cults.
